On Thursday, 26th of March, 2020, the United Bank of Africa (UBA), announced a donation of 5 billion Naira (approximately $13 million) to support the nation in the fight against the shocking outbreak of COVID 19.
The donation is to make available beds for isolation centers, intensive care unit facilities, and direct access to medical advice for up to 450,000 Nigerians daily.
This was disclosed in a statement by Tony Elumelu, the chairman of the bank.
