Telecommunications like MTN during this period allow their customers to access the official COVID-19 information sites on their networks for free.
The official Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) site (in Nigeria), Ministry of health sites, and the World Health Organization (WHO) site are browsed at zero charges by MTN users.
This is part of their contribution to help Nigerians during this pandemic period where everyone is confined to their homes and not working.
MTN launched MTN MoMo Agent, that allowed users to send and receive money with zero transfer fee. This ended on 19 April.
