He told British Para Table Tennis, “I was coming to the end of my F1 (foundation) year and finished full-time training, but they asked if I was going to come on a full-time rota that I started doing this week. I’ve finished the operation and I’m going to be a surgical SHO (Senior House Officer) treating patients with COVID.
“I want to try to help as best I can and to be able to do that is pretty good. Some of the issues people continue to struggle with is the sense of impotence that they can’t do something. I’m grateful to have the skill-set to help battle what’s going on and I’m keeping it optimistic.
