HAYLEY WICKENHEISER

Hayley Wickenheiser, president of the IOC, member of the Board of IOC Athletes and four-time Olympic ice hockey gold medallist, retired from the sport in 2017 to attend medical school.
The 41-year-old combines her final year of the University of Calgary studies with becoming the Assistant Director of Player Development for Toronto Maple Leafs and a member of the IOC Athletes’ Board.
Wickenheiser has been treating patients in emergency departments at hospitals in and around Toronto since January.
