JO BRIGDEN-JONES’ DONATIONS

Australian sprint kayaker Jo Brigden-Jones played in London 2012, but missed out narrowly on Rio 2016. Despite Rio’s frustration, she started working full time as a paramedic for New South Wales (NSW) Ambulances in her “dream job,” and has since supplemented this with preparation and motivational speech.
During the outbreak of COVID-19, Jo Brigden-Jones told the ABC Grandstand radio show that she was ordered to leave Sydney for the Gold Coast for intensive training until Tokyo 2020.
Yet the Games’ postponement meant the change was shelved, and she returned to work as a paramedic, where she is transporting people with coronavirus.
